Typically, before any wedding plans to do with dresses, stationery, food or drink can be made, the venue needs to be agreed. And it’s a vital part that can make the special day extra special – the atmosphere and setting are there for all to see. So we like to keep an eye out for special venues and Pimhill Barn at Lea Hall in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, is a great example of a rustic barn wedding venue.
Pimhill Barn: “This architecturally stunning barn which dates back to 1584 provides the perfect surroundings for a party. The large room has beautiful oak beams and is adjoined to a traditional brick cart shed with open arches, providing a covered outdoor area. The barn has exposed brick work, rustic beams and a wooden floor. All of the power for the barn is generated from solar panels situated on the roofs of farm buildings at Lea Hall. A combination of the past and the present is what makes the barn a truly unique venue. Pimhill Barn has seated capacity for up to 150 guests, or 250 if you wish to join a marquee on to the barn.”
