Kate Garey is a designer, artist and crafter based in the UK. Drawn to the more quirky, cute , weird and wonderful things, she loves to take everyday items, such as a tea cup, and add winking eyes and blushing cheeks to make instant cuteness. She is also inspired by the more enchanted things in life and all my designs have some sort of character to reflect that.
They are all too cute

Kawaii, Japan Fruits and Harajuku!

By , 20 February, 2009 2:12 pm
Marmalade Ho is an Independent street Fashion Label with a cute but edgey world of it’s own. Customised T-shirts and sweatshirts influenced by the adventures of our heroine. She’s a deceptively cute looking girl living in a place called Clone town, a creative individual in a dull town full of chain shops which are full of the same mass produced rubbish. She looks different from the other people around her, but she doesn’t care. Sometimes she gets funny looks, but she really doesn’t care. She loves pop fashion, independent fashion labels, anything kawaii, Japan Fruits and Harajuku!

Carrie’s Cakes make a statement

By , 19 February, 2009 1:17 pm
Your choice in wedding cake design makes a statement about your personality and sense of style. It should reflect you and your good taste. You may choose a sophisticated elegant look. Or show your playfulness and sense of humor as in the case of “whimsical” styles. It should also fit well with the location, the decorating, and ambience which you have created for your reception.
Carrie’s Cakes certainly have elegance & style please check them out here: www.carriescakes.com/index.php

SlaterSparke on Polka Dot Bride

By , 14 February, 2009 9:46 am

I’ve just been browsing as usual at the crack of dawn on a Saturday morning & I came across this.

The second image in from the top left is one of my invitations ‘Elegance’. Polka Dot Bride have chosen to include this SlaterSparke design into a ‘vintage wedding’ montage along with some very nice ideas for a stylish wedding.

My own wedding was based around a vintage theme and ‘Elegance’ was actually the invite I designed for my guests, so I’m especially pleased they chose this one!

Please take a look at this great wedding blog full of fantastic ideas: http://www.polkadotbride.com/

Ann Wood Handmade

By , 13 February, 2009 8:22 pm

Ann’s birds are either one of a kind or in very small quantities. They are made from mostly vintage and antique fabrics and garments. A beautiful edwardian gown inspired my very first birds and you can see a picture of a victorian wedding dress that’s being incorporated into caketoppers. The birds are stuffed with wool and are approximately 3 and 1/2 inches tall. All birds come with a name tag and in a fancy box.
